Board of Directors |
Sharon Ellingsen |
Chair
A gentleman on the dance floor and a queen at home, Sharon is working tirelessly on her quest for a welcoming Lutheran church globally. Her attention to detail with the precision of a wireless communications engineer coupled with her intense love of sculpture, drawing and words has led her to more committees and board positions than some of us care to count. Active in her home church in Calgary and in Lutherans Concerned from local chapter to the LC/NA board for the past five years, she looks forward to the challenge of leading a joyous dance of transformation with the church from her little castle in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Everett Freeman |
Treasurer
A lifelong resident of Northwestern Ontario, Everett’s passion for music has inspired him throughout the many years of his career in finance. He sings in a number of choirs and plays guitar, hand bells, along with playing violin in a community orchestra. Everett serves his home congregation as secretary to the congregational council. Everett looks forward to his involvement with Lutherans Concerned In Canada and its ministry working for the full inclusion of all people in the life of the ELCIC, guided by the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr: “An injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Tyler Gingrich |
Director
Since being ordained a pastor in the ELCIC in 2004, Tyler has served parishes and a campus ministry in Saskatchewan and British Columbia. The work of Lutherans Concerned in Canada is an inspiration to Tyler as he marvels at how vulnerable people have shared of themselves and trusted their stories with others, even in the face of oppressive people in the church. "It's a delight and an honour to be on the board of directors for LCIC," says Tyler. "I look forward to helping congregations in our Lutheran communion work towards welcome and full inclusion of all people. Even more, I would like to see our Lutheran churches follow more faithfully in the reforming tradition and work to pave the way on issues of human rights, social justice, and environmental awareness. Let's be bold in our witness!"
