About Us

Lutherans Concerned in Canada - Society for Diversity Awareness (LCIC) is a Christian ministry affirming God’s love for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

A region of Lutherans Concerned/North America (LC/NA), Lutherans Concerned in Canada offers support, educational resources, and opportunities for witness and empowerment in our Canadian context.

An independent membership organization, we rely on the donations of our members and supporters. Our members come from many Lutheran and ecumenical denominations and include people of many sexual orientations and gender identities.

Over 300 congregations and ministry settings throughout North America have joined the Reconciling in Christ (RIC) program of Lutherans Concerned. RIC program participants make a public commitment to providing a safe and welcoming space for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. Resources on this website will help you discover how the RIC program can enhance your congregation’s outreach ministry.

Come join our ministry of support, education, witness and empowerment through individual membership, local chapter involvement and membership in a Reconciling in Christ congregation near you!
